Thanks Mark. Since writing this, I'm realizing knowing "I get to choose" helps my sense of belonging-- I'm not 100% dependent on others for it. It's a lot like psychological safety-- while I can do things to elevate it for the people around me, it starts with me. What are the changes you see for your kids, now they are in college?
